Our second week in Oregon took us to the beautiful Oregon Dunes near Florence, where we set up camp at Thousand Trails South Jetty. This place quickly became the perfect base camp for our week’s adventures, giving us easy access to both the dunes and the charming town of Florence. After work, we’d head out to explore the area, making the most of the long summer evenings.

Our first week on the Oregon coast has been nothing short of spectacular. We set up camp at the Thousand Trails Pacific City, a gem of a campground nestled just across from the ocean. The location couldn't have been more perfect, offering us the soothing sound of crashing waves as a constant backdrop and easy access to the beach.

Although we didn’t stay directly in the city, we found a fantastic campground about an hour away in Monroe, Washington: the Thousand Trails Thunderbird Campground. After the unexpected detour from Glacier National Park and our brief stay in Coeur d'Alene, we finally found ourselves in the picturesque town of Leavenworth, Washington. The drive from the eastern part of the state to the stunning mountains surrounding Leavenworth was an adventure in itself. As we approached, the landscape transformed from arid plains to lush, tree-covered peaks, setting the stage for our next chapter.
