After the unexpected detour from Glacier National Park and our brief stay in Coeur d'Alene, we finally found ourselves in the picturesque town of Leavenworth, Washington. The drive from the eastern part of the state to the stunning mountains surrounding Leavenworth was an adventure in itself. As we approached, the landscape transformed from arid plains to lush, tree-covered peaks, setting the stage for our next chapter.

Changing Course: From Wildfires to Yellow Jackets to Leavenworth After an incredible two weeks exploring Yellowstone National Park, our next destination was supposed to be Glacier National Park. We were eager to experience its stunning landscapes and pristine wilderness, but as often happens on the road, plans can change in an instant.

After an unforgettable week at Grand Teton, we headed straight to our next destination: Yellowstone National Park. Initially, we planned on spending just a few days here, scouting out the sights and perhaps finding a boondocking spot nearby. But Yellowstone had other plans for us. This park's beauty and sheer magnitude convinced us to extend our stay to two incredible weeks. Honestly, if we could have, we would’ve stayed the entire summer—there’s just that much to see and do!

Our third stop on this unforgettable summer adventure with Daxton took us to the breathtaking Grand Teton National Park. We spent an entire week soaking in the majesty of this incredible landscape while boondocking in the national forest just outside the park. Our campground was tucked away down a long, winding dirt road, nestled right next to a peaceful river. The setting was serene, but what made it truly special was the surprise visitor we had shortly after setting up camp

Our summer RV adventure continued with a fantastic second stop at the Xscapers 4th of July Rally in Sturgis, SD. This was a special event for us, as it marked Daxton's first Xscapers gathering, and we were excited to see our old friends and make some new ones, in addition to participating in the activities that make these rallies so memorable.

Our summer RV trip kicked off with a fantastic week at Devil’s Tower National Monument, a destination that left us both awe-inspired and grateful for the time we spent together.
